Communication Infrastructure Provider

O2 Networks, s.r.o. owns and operates telecommunications network infrastructure originally owned by O2 Slovakia, s.r.o. 

 

O2 Slovakia has allocated its network infrastructure to a new separate entity, which will operate on the market from 1st June under the name O2 Networks. With this step, O2 Slovakia will be divided into a telecommunications operator (with its original name O2 Slovakia), which will provide services for customers and the network provider (O2 Networks).

 

The aim of this organizational change is to streamline the operations and management of the construction and operation of physical infrastructure on one hand and with the emphasis on providing services to customers on the other. The separation of network management into a separate entity has the potential to bring customers an even higher level of commitment in enhancing network parameters as well as the emphasis on improving the customer experience in provided telecommunications services.  In the global and European telecommunications market, several telecommunications providers already operate in such a structure. One of them is O2 Czech Republic, which has been operating in the mentioned model since 2015, and whose positive experience O2 wants to transfer to the Slovak market.
